Probably not the best idea I'll have but what about rope lights? Are there aquatic ones? I'd always imagined them to be cheap to light and they come in a plethora of colours.

No idea how that would work to be honest. I might look into it though thumbsup.gif

I saw these but they are quite spaced out but I guess you could snake them up and down regularly. smile.gif

Rick,

How is your pond doing? Did it make it out of the winter OK? Any problems or leaks?

Are all your fish OK, etc. ?

This year we had one of the mildest winters I can ever remember . . . thumbsup.gif

All best,
Joe

Crikey, didn't realise an update was this overdue.

I've had a few ups and downs with the pond. Not least getting a bad outbreak of various parasites and flukes. Lost quite a few fish but things seem to be under control at the moment.

Over winter went relatively smoothly, mainly as I chose to heat the pond and keep it at a minimum of 10 degrees over the worst part of winter, and 15 degrees the rest of the time. This meant I could keep feeding the fish the whole time.

Added a sand filter and pump, along with a surface skimmer to the equipment list, and have a 55 watt UV to plumb in along side the 35 watt UV already running. I'll do some updated pics of the pond, fish and equipment over the weekend. Only this one available at the moment (and typically, I hadn't cleaned the window shout.gif ).

Thanks, Rick!

With a system as large as that, there were bound to be a few ups and downs along the way!
