Well Kev (green severum) my oldest fish 8 years old? got hole in the head recently.
Remember i was telling you about little worm type things coming from him? Well it was HITH.

He ended up geeting a big sore on his head that got inflamed - it popped and lots of puss came out. I thought he was a gonner. But my BF contacted a fish shop who reccomended octozin.

We bought a smaller tank to isolate him in and started to treatment, and he has responded SOOOO well. Its healing over now. He has a big dint in his head. And we will re-introduce him to the tank once its completely healed over.

I think he survived beacuse he is an older fish in good condition - before this happened.

im so happy. i would have been devestated to have lost him.

we have upped the heat in the big tank but its not working so well - because its a cold room. So we have even paid for a better raidiator to be installed. So hopefully this will help. We also added ANOHTHER heater - but it never gets above 25. So fingers crossed.

Glad it worked out for you, I have never had any good luck with HITH sicknesses, I always lost the fish. So best of luck.
